I am Chirriza, the person behind the lens and the pen, though I don’t claim the titles of photographer, writer, or poet. What I do claim is a curiosity for the everyday and a soft spot for the outdoors.

I’m fortunate to share this slightly sideways life with my dog, who treats every walk like an expedition, and also with my ever‑patient and loving partner who keeps pace with all the detours, pauses, and “wait, just one more seagull photo” moments.

The real reason I created Offbeat & In Focus is simple: life tugs at my sleeve far more often than I can hold onto. There are so many small, precious moments I want to preserve—for myself, for my loved ones—because they slip by quickly and are too easily forgotten.

This space is my way of keeping them close.
